Dennis_Hewitt01.jpg - This is my 11B cabriolet conversion from a 1955 Paris built Normale, taken at my house in Yatton, North Somerset,England on 19th December 2009. It was converted in Germany in 1997 using parts from the English company - Peacock Engineering - and I purchased it in June 2007. It is 12 volt and has an alternator and 4 way inicators. Since purchased it I have done the following : - apart from mechanical work I have fitted a flapped bonnet and short slot grille, changed the dash layout to as close as possible to a 1939 cabriolet, removed the 1955 indicators and replaced them with Marchal position lights and fitted a new windscreen. The dashboard had a wooden piece on the top instead of the correct metal piece. I have just replaced that with the correct pattern metal piece that was made for me by A.R.V.A in Northern France. The hood frame was not correct and I have just finished fitting a correct pattern hood frame that again was made for me by A.R.V.A. In the photo you can see the frame. The next job will be to get a hood cover made. I will again get the rear window surround etc. from A.R.V.A. I took the car to Arras in July 2009. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
